Dr. Alaina Goesling is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist.
Dr. Alaina Goesling (she/her) is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist. She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University, Seattle, WA in 2021. She is currently a first-year resident physician under Dr. Ilana Gurevich at Kwan Yin Healing Arts. Prior to her graduate studies, Alaina completed undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She worked in laboratories at the UW Department of Neurological Surgery and Genome Sciences as well as Seattle Children’s Hospital Department of Cardiology.
Dr. Goesling’s clinical interests include GI health, dermatology and endocrinology. She believes these conditions all track back to a healthy digestive system and this is the key to curing chronic conditions. Dr. Goesling has additional training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, IV therapy, homeopathy, craniosacral therapy.
One of Dr. Goesling’s passions is visceral manipulation. She has seen amazing resolution to chronic digestive and abdominal pain using this simple and effective hands on therapy. Visceral manipulation is a hands on abdominal massage that is used to release adhesions in the abdomen and bring movement back to the organs of the abdomen.
She believes in an individualized, patient centered, evidenced based approach to healthcare. Additionally, she believes in patient education, shared decision making and creating a therapeutic alliance with her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing volleyball and tennis, boating, hiking, skiing, and anything to tire out her 110lb Alaskan Malamute, Queen.
